- Acanthosis: All 1st, 3rd, 5th grade students and any student new to NEISD; Fall semester.
- Dental: 3rd grade students; Spring semester.
- Spinal: 5th grade students; Fall semester
- Hearing & Vision: All PK, K, 1st, 3rd, 5th grade students and any student new to NEISD; Fall semester.

Medication On Campus
Parents need to bring in all medications to the clinic. Students are NOT ALLOWED to transport or carry medication on campus or to the clinic. This includes medicated lip balms, cough drops, and creams.

Communicable Disease & Children with Fever Policy
Students are expected to be free of fever (temperature less than 100° F) and free of communicable diseases in order to attend school. Parents/Guardians are required to pick up their child as soon as possible if they develop a fever (temperature greater than 100.0° F) at school. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to keep their student home until they are fever-free for 24 hours without anti-fever medication. Anti-fever medication cannot be given to students to keep them in school. This helps minimize the spread of potentially contagious illnesses at school and encourages adequate rest and recuperation before students return to school.

School nurses are a primary resource in recognizing and managing children´s health problems. School nurses have the professional education and expertise to function successfully in the separate complete systems of education and health care.
